Daylight Savings Time Information

Studio 64, Control Room-7, and CDS32 Systems

SPRING (Daylight savings time begins, move clocks forward one hour at 2:00am.)
 For systems set to "Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes".

    Satellite Automation Mode
 

At 2:00 am your clock will automatically change to 3:00 am.
Your script will automatically jump to 3:00am. Normally, (depending upon how your script is written) you won't need to do anything.
Your system should just jump ahead one hour with the network.
If the clock changes correctly but things don't work right, quit your script by clicking on the Quit button in the top left corner of the screen. Click Script, click Load Script, choose the correct script, click OK, click Start.


    Music-on-Hard-Drive Mode
  At 2:00 am your clock will automatically change to 3:00 am.
Your script will automatically jump to 3:00am. Depending upon how your script is written, your music log should keep playing. It will just skip the 2:00am hour.
If the clock changes correctly but things don't work right, quit your script by clicking on the Quit button in the top left corner of the screen. Click Script, click Load Script, choose the correct script, click OK, click Start.

  

 If your system does not  "Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes".

  At 2:00 am, set your clock to 3:00 am. They system should jump ahead by one hour.
If you don't want to do this at 2:00am, then do it sometime Sunday when you want your schedule to be correct.

 

 If all else fails.

  Set your clock if necessary.
Quit your script by clicking on the Quit button in the top left corner of the screen. Click Script, click Load Script, choose the correct script, click OK, click Start.

 FALL (Daylight savings time ends, move clocks back one hour at 2:00am.)
 For systems set to "Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes".

    Satellite Automation Mode
 

At 2:00 am your clock will automatically change back to 1am.
Your script will remain at 2:00am. Normally, (depending upon how your script is written) you won't need to do anything.
Your system should just stay with the network during this hour, and resume normal operation at 2:00am.
If the clock changes correctly but things don't work right, quit your script by clicking on the Quit button in the top left corner of the screen. Click Script, click Load Script, choose the correct script, click OK, click Start.
This will repeat the 1:00 hour of the script.


    Music-on-Hard-Drive Mode
  At 2:00 am your clock will automatically change back to 1am.
If your spot sets are played from the cart deck:
Your script will remain at 2:00am. Depending upon how your script is written, your music log may keep playing until the first spot set is reached. At that point the system will stop and wait an hour until the spot set is within it's window. Once that time is reached, normal operation should resume.
If you don't want an hour of dead air, quit your script by clicking on the Quit button in the top left corner of the screen. Click Script, click Load Script, choose the correct script, click OK, click Start. This will repeat the 1:00 hour of the music log and script.
If your spots are merged into the music log:
You should use your music scheduler to create two, One O'clock hours. Alternately, use Notepad to open the music log, then copy and paste the One O'clock hour. Save the log. If you do this to a running log, you must quit the script and restart it.

  

 If your system does not  "Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes".

  At 2:00 am, quit your script by clicking on the Quit button in the top left corner of the screen.
Set your clock back to 1am. Click Script, click Load Script, choose the correct script, click OK, click Start. This will repeat the 1:00 hour.
If you don't want to do this at 2:00am, then do it sometime Sunday when you want your schedule to be correct.

 

 If all else fails.
